Dr. Andrew DeLemos is board-certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and transplant hepatology. He specializes in treating cirrhosis, autoimmune liver disease, and fatty liver disease, with a particular passion for guiding patients through the liver transplant process and forming deep bonds with them.
He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his residency and hepatology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. DeLemos is an active member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) and the American Gastroenterological Association. He has been recognized as a Top Doctor by Charlotte magazine and a preferred provider by the Autoimmune Hepatitis Association.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. DeLemos conducts clinical trials for patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Outside work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, playing tennis, cheering for European soccer, listening to music with his daughter, and watching action movies with his son.
