Dr. Chathur Acharya, MD. As a transplant hepatologist, I specialize in treating all forms of liver disease. When patients come to see me, they can rest assured that I'll support them throughout their treatment and, if necessary, before and after their liver transplant. I'm passionate about providing a patient-focused, individualized approach. Liver disease is a complex health condition, and patient education and caregiver involvement are crucial for improving outcomes.

I frequently help patients manage cognitive disabilities related to advanced liver disease. My research focuses on hepatic encephalopathy, a form of cognitive impairment linked to chronic liver disease. I also have a particular interest in caring for elderly patients with liver disease, as this population requires a more nuanced approach, particularly regarding liver transplantation.
